THE 20TH CENTURY

By the 20th century the pace of change in the fashionable silhouette became ever more rapid as the expanding fashion industry, in conjunction with the media, became more effective at stimulating demand for a constant flow of new styles.
Most garment shops began to hire their own artists to render new design concepts in current fashion trends. With so much success in the fashion industry starting to become more and more popular, fashion designers were able to dictate what their customers wore rather than the customer telling the dressmaker what to make.

From the 19th century and before, men were just as dapper as the women. In fact for centuries women's clothing were drab whereas men's clothing went through many transformations. Were these men above GAY?? Absolutely NOT. They took pride in their appearance. Men of today are coming to this trends because men were more appreciated looking gorgeous. Although some men are lazy to look as good as they would love to but they can't be bothered about fashion nor trends, thinking fashion is meant mainly for women. MEN!!!!!!!!!(shallow thinkers)
Ray-Ban Wayfarers were by far the most popular sunglasses worn in the 80s. Originally designed in the 1950s, the Wayfarer had declined in popularity by the late 70s. That all changed in 1983 when Tom Cruise wore them for his break out movie role in the film Risky Business. Demand for the glasses took off with hundreds of thousands being sold immediately after the release of the movie. The glasses could be seen on many of the top celebrities of the 80s, including Michael Jackson, Don Johnson, and Madonna

The early 2000s saw a continuation of the minimalist look of the 1990s in high fashion. Later on, designers began to adopt a more colourful, feminine, excessive, and 'anti-modern' look. Name brands became of particular importance among young people and many celebrities launched their own lines of clothing. Tighter fit clothing and longer hair became mainstream for many men and women

WHAT WENT DOWN IN THE 19TH CENTURY....

As you can see the Esquire magazine in 1954, Its a woman on the the front page but is a men's magazine, which simply means women are the genesis of fashion and the male magazine in the 19th century could be a success without involving a woman.

During the last years of the 19th century it was fashionable for women's hair to be arranged on the top of the head in a bun and puffed out around the face.

This is the era of Victorian and Edwardian, when women's fashion was highly intense. Women were made to change at least four to five times a day according to her itinery for the day. Also this women were wives daughters or nieces of wealthy men in the society. The women were dressed according to their husbands' wealth.
